Ruth A. Obermeyer age 75, died on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at her daughter's home in Columbus. She was born on April 28, 1940 in Columbus to Elmer and Melba (Peters) Pritchard. Ruth was married to Robert Obermeyer on December 6, 1958 in Columbus. Together they owned and operated Obermeyer Spraying Service. Ruth enjoyed her many travel destinations to warm climates. Survivors include her husband, Robert of Columbus; four daughters, Rhonda (Jeff) Erickson of Bloomington IL, Rochelle "Shelly" Obermeyer of Madison, Renee (Tom) Meister of Columbus and Rebecca "Becky" Obermeyer of Juneau; three grandchildren, Michael Erickson, Adam (Cathryn) Erickson and Megan Meister; a great granddaughter, Jaiden Erickson; two sisters, Audrey (Bob) Biersach and Kathy (Bob) Wedel both of Columbus; one brother, Bill (Vel) Pritchard of Portage IN; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Wilbert Lange. A memorial service was held at 11:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the OLIVET CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, Columbus. Sandra Schieble officiated. Inurnment was in Bethel Cemetery, Columbus. Memorials may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
