Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Scott "Pap" Rose age 64, on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Froedtert Hospital. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Scott was born on February 15, 1961 in Columbus to Phillip and Helen (Andler) Rose and spent his life making an unforgettable impact on those who knew him.

An accomplished engineer, Scott held over 10 United States patents, with his work being manufactured for food companies around the world. He spent over 32 years as an Engineer, General Manager, Vice President and Business Partner for Food Process Systems, Lodi WI.

His brilliant mind and inventive spirit were matched only by his generous heart. Whether it was solving a complex problem or telling a captivating story filled with life lessons, Scott was always ready with an answer, a laugh, or a piece of wisdom that left others in awe.

Above all, he was known for always opening his arms and home to anyone, welcoming them as part of his extended family. His warmth and kindness made him a friend to all, and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere.

Scott had a deep love for science, space, gardening and traveling (as long as there was a space, train or airplane museum involved). He enjoyed working on house projects, creating new models on his 3-d printer, and exploring new ideas.  Always eager to learn more and share what he knew with others. His passion for life was infectious, and his curiosity knew no bounds.

Scott's legacy will live on through his family, his inventions, and the countless lives he touched. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, mother, sister, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In the end, Scott was able to donate 3 organs and save 3 other people.

Survivors include his mother, Helen Rose; wife, Traci Rose of Columbus; four children Angela (Brian) Ness of Lodi, Jacob (Andrea) Rose of Columbus, Major Christopher (Jessie) Rose of Elizabethtown KY, Samantha Rose (Riley Kaeppel) of Columbus; ten grandchildren Cole, Sophia, Amelia, Henry, Preston, Colton, Ethan, Abram, Grayson, Brendan; sister Dawn (Buddy) Fennel of Grand Junction CO; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his father Phillip Rose and Father-in-law John Marks.

A celebration of Scott's life will be held Friday June 13th from 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Savanna Oaks, Fall River. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Prairie Ridge Health in Columbus.

A special thank you to Dr Rolf, Dr Sam Poser and staff.
