Obituary

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our brother Stephen C. "Steve-O" Lueck, age 53, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Adams County on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Stephen was born on April 13, 1971 to Gary and Judie (Cass) Lueck in Robbinsdale, MN.

Stephen grew up in Fall River and went to Fall River High School. He had a love for tinkering on all makes/models of vehicles alongside his dad and attended many car shows, but most cherished was their annual trip to the Iola Car Show. He worked as a mechanic, concrete, roofing along with many other trades, but the last few years he was proud to have gotten his CDL. He was currently working for Cornerstone Pavers, LLC as a concrete truck driver.

After living in the Fall River area most of his life, relocating to Oxford where he quickly became a part of the community by joining the Grand Marsh Snowmobile club and volunteering at the annual Corn and Tater Fest. Steve-O's huge heart had him helping where he could and his gift of gab had him quickly making new friends and becoming the life of the party and when leaving saying "yuk, yuk, yuk" to keep the laughter going.

Always wanting to stay in touch with those he loved, he called them weekly from the road and would talk for hours whether you wanted to or not.

Stephen is survived by his sons Dagen Fairchild-Lueck of IN, Anthony; brothers Curt (Angie) Lueck of Beloit, Gary Lueck Jr. of MN, James Lueck of MN; sisters Michele (Tom) Weisensel of Columbus, Jennifer (Mike) Kluetzman of Waterford, Miah (Robert) Gaudet of NC; Uncle Don Cass of Juneau, Aunt Yvonne Cass of Columbus, four grandsons Kylan, Brylan, Preston and Ethan; nieces and nephews and Special friend Sara Rykiel of Oxford and her sons Nick and Cole; other relatives and many friends. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Charles and Elaine Cass, Martin and Betty Lueck, Uncles Curt and Jon Cass, Aunt Julie Cass, along with other family members.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. with a memorial service beginning at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Jensen Funeral & Cremation, Columbus. Rev. Sandra Schieble will officiate. Inurnment will be in Fall River Cemetery.

We will miss your contagious laughter and light. Rest easy brother, we love you.
