FALL RIVER--Thomas G. "Tom" Eggert age 62 died on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at his home. He was born on April 17, 1954 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Charles and Mary (Conway) Eggert. Tom graduated from the BMG School District in Brooklyn, Iowa and attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. Tom was a master electrician for the Madison Metropolitan Sewage District for 26 years. He also was a meter reader for the City of Columbus and Adams County. Tom was married to Cindy (Oelke) Dalby on October 28, 2006 in Wisconsin Dells. He loved going fishing with his boys, camping and anything outdoors. He was a dedicated EMT and firefighter in Iowa, Columbus and Fall River. Survivors include his wife Cindy of Fall River; mother Mary (Robert) Reinbrecht of Tama, IA and his father Charles (Joanne) Eggert of Cedar Rapids, IA; eight children Ryan (Tisha) Miller and Joel (Cassy) Eggert both of Brooklyn IA, Nick (Erika) Eggert of Asheville NC, Jason (Marissa) Eggert of Denver CO, Sarah (Chris) Short of Portage, Cassie (Scott) Dalby of Juneau, Cortney (Marcus) Dalby of Columbus and Sammie Dalby of Rio; 13 grandchildren; one sister Sheryl Rohrer of Ely, IA; special nephew, Samuel Thomas Rohrer; half brothers and half sisters, Gregg, Kevin, Cindy, Lori and Joe all of Iowa; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arnold and Mabel Oelke; brothers-in-law, Arnie (Paula) Oelke and Gary (Jane) Oelke both of Fall River and Scott (Taylor) Oelke of Portage; his former wife, Janice (John) Beaderstadt of Brooklyn IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Grace Conway and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Eggert. Visitation was from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Jensen Funeral & Cremation, Columbus. Private services and interment was in the Fall River Cemetery, Fall River WI. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society in Tom's memory.
