Virginia A. Rehfeldt age 85, died on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Columbus Health & Rehab in Columbus. She was born on December 28, 1932 in Columbus to Oscar and Emma (Starker) Link. She was married to Edgar Rehfeldt on July 12, 1952 in East Bristol. Virginia worked as a secretary for the Callahan & Arnold Law office in Columbus for 19 years and Stoltz Law office in Columbus for 10 years before her retirement. She was an active member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. Virginia was civic and community-minded. During election years, she worked long hours at local polling stations for many years. Virginia also crocheted 'Linus' blankets for various area hospitals. Survivors include her husband Edgar of Fall River; three sons Brian (Janet) of Sun Prairie, Ross (Berit) of Columbus, Rick of Madison; two daughters Nan (Thomas) Linde of Sun Prairie and Mari (Hayden) Creque of Sun Prairie ; six grandchildren, Thomas Rehfeldt, Elle Rehfeldt, Clair Novak, Laura Linde, Emma Creque, Danni Creque; one great granddaughter Calla Novak; a sister Monica (Wayne) Gannon of Adams; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Link. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:30 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH, in Columbus. Rev. Garrett Kau officiated. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus. Memorials may be made to the Columbus Community Hospital or St. Jerome Church.
